It has been a long time since I have posted an update.  I am now enjoying retirement and learning many new knitting techniques. Celebrated birthdays and anniversaries - getting our Golden Buckeye cards and 36 years together.

Knitting Olympics

With Valentine's Day around the corner I wish all of my friends and family a wonderful day - hearts and flowers to all of you! I will be camped out by the TV over the next couple of weeks watching the Winter Olympics from Vancouver. Probably will get a lot of those UFOs (unfinished objects) done. Wouldn't it be interesting if there was an Olympics for knitters? How about freestyle cabling or speed knitting?

Happy New Year 2010

I had a wonderful Christmas - getting together with family and friends. On one of the warmer days in December, Scully and I went out for a walk mid morning before the next round of bad weather was to arrive. As we walked our usual path out the street, the sun was coming up on the right and the dark clouds were appearing on the left--but then the most beautiful rainbow appeared in front of the dark clouds. Another moment to pause and appreciate life...

Comfort Afghan

This is my latest effort at assembling squares for our Comfort Afghan project at church. Every square made by friends or members.

Knitting My First Tee

I started my first knitted tee today. Purple, lavender, and gold - sort of along a Minnesota Vikings theme.
